Edward Peduzzi Obituary

Edward Francis "Ed" Peduzzi Jr., 81, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully on Aug. 10, 2025, at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, surrounded by his loving family, whom he loved more than anything in the world. He was born on March 5, 1944, a son of the late Edward Francis Peduzzi Sr. and Eloise (Simons) Peduzzi. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Peduzzi. Ed grew up in Ebensburg and graduated from high school there. He graduated from Lehigh University, after which he attended graduate school at the University of Massachusetts. He served in the United States Army. After he returned home, he attended University of Dayton Law School, where he graduated third in his class, becoming a lawyer like his father before him. He spent the entirety of his distinguished career serving as District Counsel for the IRS, managing the Pittsburgh office, until he retired in 2013. Ed loved reading books. Music was a lifelong passion of Ed's, and he was an accomplished singer with the Mendelssohn Choir in Pittsburgh for almost 40 years. He loved Pittsburgh's sports teams, especially the Steelers, and he loved movies. He really enjoyed fine dining and always loved going out to eat with his family. More than anything, Ed loved his family, and he gave everything he had to them, to his wife of 43 years, to his children, and to his grandson. Ed is survived by his loving wife, Gail (Berardinelli) Peduzzi of Murrysville; his son, Edward John (Angela Faye) Peduzzi of Liberty Township, OH; his daughter, Elizabeth Ann Peduzzi of Plum; his grandson, John Parker Peduzzi, with a granddaughter on the way; as well as his beloved bulldog, Bam Bam. Visitation for Edward will be from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025, at HART FUNERAL HOME INC., in Murrysville. Parting prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Mother of Sorrows Church in Murrysville. Interment will follow at Murrysville Cemetery with military honors accorded by the United States Army. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org in Ed's name. For online condolences, please visit www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com.

Ed was a good friend during our many years together at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel. I am lucky to have known him and count him as a friend. Bernie Weberman
