Edward Max Piotrowski
Edward M. Piotrowski, 80, of Peoria, AZ passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023, after a long battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in Peoria, AZ.
Edward was born on January 2, 1943, to Edward and Grace in Flint, Michigan. After Edward graduated from Southwestern High School in Flint in 1961, he went on to serve in the Marine Corps Reserves at Camp Pendleton. Before purchasing his shoe repair business, he worked for Fisher Body in the Paint Department.
In 1965 he met Sandra Williams in Davison, Michigan on a blind date at Roller Haven and they married in February 1966. They had two daughters, Jennifer and Kristin. In 1980, Ed and Sandi made a bold move and forged westward to Phoenix, Arizona leaving behind their extended families in search of a new chapter. In the late 1990's he was diagnosed with COPD and battled a variety of physical illnesses for the rest of his life. He enjoyed baseball, reading and scratcher lottery tickets.
He was intelligent, inquisitive, and keen in all his pursuits. His passion was in taking care of his family and building a loving home. Edward was a driven entrepreneur in each of his business ventures and he took pride in mastering each skill and received constant accolades.
Ed's canine companions were dear to him. They are on a long walk with him now.
Ed is survived by his children Jennifer (Rob), Kristin; grandchildren Eryn, Lauren (Ben); siblings Don Walton (Ann) and Jeanne Van Schaick.
