Edward Allen Ramsey passed away on April 21st, 2024 at Trinity West hospital surrounded by family. He was born on December 28th, 1939 to the late William Henry and Manilla Irene (Tyler) Ramsey. He is also preceded in death by his wife Roberta Ann (Banks) Ramsey in 2016, eight siblings June Ramsey, Charles Ramsey, Benjamin Ramsey, Raymond "Mickey" Ramsey, Edwina Coleman, Irene Gardner, Eunice Brown, and Franklin "Doc" Tyler. Edward was a graduate of Cadiz High School (1957), where he was an All-Star athlete in both football and basketball. He was also an avid fisherman and golfer. Edward loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He served his country from 1957-1965 in the U.S. Air Force. Edward was retired from AEP Cardinal Plant in Brilliant, Ohio. He is survived by two daughters Marcey Ramsey-Henderson of Columbus, OH, Mitzi (Michael) McIntyre of Steubenville, OH, one son J.W. Ramsey of Mingo Jct., OH, four grandchildren Jordan McIntyre of Washington D.C., Steven Henderson of Columbus, OH, Darrius Henderson of Houston, TX, Alyssa McIntyre of Indianapolis, IN, one great granddaughter, Kyliegh Henderson, a special niece Bonnie Lou Cowans, and a host of nieces and nephews. Friends and family are welcomed to wear Steelers apparel to the viewing. Visitation for Edward will be held on Thursday, April 25th, 2024 from 2-8 PM at the Schuetz Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Ave Mingo Jct., OH and on Friday, April 26th from 10 A.M. until the time of services at 12 P.M. Noon with Rev. Maurice Lawson officiating. The interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Jct. OH with full Military Honors.
