Edward "Ned" V. Randall, Jr., age 91, of Upper St Clair, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
Ned was a graduate of Brown University and proudly served as a United States Marine in the Korean conflict. He was the President and CEO of PNC Bank, Pittsburgh and Chairman of the PNC Bank Foundation, Director of the Federal Reserve Board of Cleveland/Pittsburgh branch and a director emeritus and the founding Chairman of the Pittsburgh Partnership for Neighborhood Development.
Ned is survived by his wife of 67 years Sally (Shaw), loving dad of Catharine (Randall Balmer) Randall, Ted (Lynn) Randall, Jon (Beth) Randall, proud grandpa of Sara (Tyler) Dennin, Lindsay (Stuart) Randall, Ashley (Steven) Schlaegle, Joshua (Julia) Randall, Madison (Richi) Randall, Christian and Andrew Balmer, great grandfather of Teague and Neave Dennin and Vivian Schlaegle and great grandson-to-be, brother-in-law Howard Shaw and sister-in-law Lin Randall. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward "Vincent" and Louise Randall and brother Eldred Randall.
Most of all Ned wants to be remembered as a good husband, father and grandfather. Sally, his children and grandchildren were his life.
Friends and family will be received at the Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray PA 15317 on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, followed by a memorial service and honor guard.
