Edward Roberson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barnett Family Funeral Home - Oskaloosa on Jul. 30, 2025.
Edward (Eddie) K. Roberson left this world on June 6, 2025, after a long battle with COPD.
Eddie was born to William (JR) K. Roberson and Peggy Mae Dobyns Roberson on September 26, 1953, in Lynchburg, Virginia.
At a young age his family moved to Kansas where he attended Williamstown Grade School and graduated from Perry-Lecompton High School in 1971.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Hamm Company for many years until he was hurt in a rock crusher and became disabled. Eddie and his brother opened Flatland Motor Cycle Repair shop in Topeka and he drove trucks across the county for some time. Eddie took care of his dad, JR, for many years who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease until he could no longer give him the proper care due to his disability.
Eddie had a brother, Richard "Dickie", two sisters, Cindy and Norrice and had adopted as his little brother, Steve and little sis, Elaine as his family. He had many many friends through out the years that had come and gone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dickie and his beloved dogs, Sally Girl and Badger.
Eddie left this world leaving behind his two sisters, Cindy (James) Stansell, Lecompton, Norrice (Tom) Myrick, EL Paso, TX., sister in law, Nancy Roberson, Ozawkie, adopted little brother and little sis, Steve and Elaine Buscher, Ozawkie, Neices, nephew and many friends.
Eddie's life was not perfect, but whose is? It was his life and he lived it the way he wanted to. He will be missed by so many and he had a wish to be an Organ Donor and that wish came true. His eyes were donated in hopes that maybe two other people will be able to see. What a great gift Edward gave at the end of his life. A Celebration of "ED" will be at a later date.
