Judith Ann "Judy" McCartney, 71, of Perry, KS, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 at home. "Judy" was born May 1,1954 in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Gene Loren and Dorothy Jean Pine Coffman. She was a 1972 graduate of Lawrence High School. She worked for King Radio in Lawrence from 1973 to 1991 and for Lawrence Paper Company 1993 to 2003. She retired from the City of Lawrence in 2017 after 14 years of service as a supervisor.

Judy loved and enjoyed her family, friends, tending her flower beds, cooking, boating and riding her motorcycle.

Judy married Richard Lee McCartney on May 6,1972 in Lawrence, he survives at home. She is survived by her daughter, Angie (Gene) Dick, Perry, a sister, Linda Radford, Lawrence, a brother, Randy (Shirley) Coffman, Topeka, four grandsons, Dalton (Austin) Holl, Williamstown, Dylan McCartney, Lawrence, Cooper Dick, Perry, Charlie (Arica) Dick, Moore, OK, four great-grandsons, Dawson Holl, Parkyr Stansell, Jaden Stansell, Emmitt Dick and Judy's dog, Dixie.

Cremation Care is planned. Visitation and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a service at 12:00 Noon Sunday, February 22,2026 at Barnett Family Funeral home, Oskaloosa. A dinner will follow services at the Perry American Legion Post #142. Private Family Inurnment will be at Buster Cemetery, Perry.

Memorials suggested to Jefferson County Friends of Hospice or to Jefferson County Humane Society.
