Edward Roberson- 95
Of Hahira, Georgia, passed peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center. He was born on March 1, 1930, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to the late William Turner Roberson and Effie Gertrude (Parish) Roberson. Along with his parents, he is preceded in dearth by his wife, Catherine Annabelle (Howard) Roberson.
Survivors include his stepson, John Austin (Linda), of Hahira, Georgia; his granddaughters: Angela Austin “Cricket” of Hahira, Georgia and Dawn Kennedy “Punkin” (Tony) of Hahira, Georgia; great granddaughter, Morgan Foster (Josh “Hoot”) of Valdosta, Georgia; his great-great grandson Truett Foster, also known as “Pork Chop”.
Mr. Roberson enjoyed traveling and had traveled to all 50 states and Australia. He loved camping and camped all over the country, as well as walking and reading old western books. Mr. Roberson retired after 32 years from the City of Greensboro, North Carolina.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 30, 2026, in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com. The Roberson family is being served by the caring and professional staff of Music Funeral Services of Valdosta.
