Edward H. Robinett passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, at Optalis Health & Rehabilitation of St. Francis, at the age of 85. He was born on March 7, 1940, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Ole Joseph Robinett and Leona Elizabeth Barnhart.
After graduating from high school, Edward proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He met his wife, Sandy Hill. Edward married Sandy in April of 1966 in California and the two began building a life together. They welcomed their son, John, in August that year, completing their family.
In his younger years, Edward loved the thrill of snowmobiling. Throughout his life, he was known for embracing simple joys and greeting the world with a warm, easy smile. He and Sandy especially cherished their travels together, often heading to sunny, warm destinations like Arizona in their RV. He worked for many years at Saginaw Steering Gear until transferring to working for GM. Edward was also a long-time member of the Moose Lodge #82 and Eagles Club.
Edward is survived by his sisters Elsie, Kathy, and Brenda; brother in law Albert (Paula) Hill; sisters in law Lois (Ron) Miller, Elizabeth Demand, and May Robinett; special niece Ronda Soule; dear friend Dan Kowalski; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who held a special place in his heart.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra; his son, John; loving aunt and uncle, Lillian (Harold) Demand; his parents, Ole (Kathleen) and Leona (Elwin); brothers Ole Jr. and Harold; sisters Terry, Judy, and Sharon.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at W.L. Case and Company – Miller Road Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd., Saginaw, MI 48609, with Pastor Ted McCulloch officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, January 23, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
