Edward T. Rusak

1939 - 2025

Edward "Edge" Theodore Rusak, 85, of South Daytona, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025. He was born June 21, 1939, in Arnold, to the late John and Stella Condrasiewicz Rusak, and was a resident of New Kensington before relocating to South Daytona, FL, in 2018. Edge graduated from Arnold High School and earned an associate's degree in accounting. He worked at Oberg Industries, Freeport, as a tool and die machinist. Edge really enjoyed fishing of any kind from a Florida Keys trip after graduating high school to fishing muskie at night on Lake Erie to canoe fishing on the Allegheny River to pier fishing in Daytona and there was always time for the next spot, gardening, traveling, woodworking, spending time with family, going to the movies on Tuesdays, cheering for Pittsburgh sports teams, building puzzles, and making Christmas cookies, especially Edge's famous Snickerdoodles. He is survived by three sons, Daniel (Alexis) Rusak of South Daytona, FL, Eric (Stacy) Rusak, and Michael (Melissa) Rusak, both of Raleigh, NC; nine grandchildren, Alyson, Nicholas, Tyler, Chloe, Kylie, Samuel, Alexandra, Caiden, and Sophia Rusak; two great-grandchildren, Adalynn and Roman; and a brother, Joseph Rusak of Clovis, CA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; and his oldest son, Edward M. Rusak. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or your favorite charity. Edge's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Halifax Hospice Care Center Port Orange for their compassionate care. A private burial and celebration of life will be held at a later date in St. Mary Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
