Edward "Ed" Scepkowski

Edward "Ed" Scepkowski passed away on Saturday, November 16, at the age of 64, after living fully with cancer for two years. Ed grew up in Whiting, Indiana and resided with his family in Romeoville, Illinois since 2007.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Nadine Kulma, and cherished daughter, Sydney Scepkowski. Ed was the favorite brother of Pat (the late Donn) Davidson, Pam (David) Chamberlin, and Pauline (Joe) Bryant; caring son-in-law to Diane (the late Eugene) Kulma and brother-in-law to Michael (Luella Adan) Kulma; loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was the devoted son of the late Edward and Anne Scepkowski.
Known for his kind, gentle heart and effortless humor, Ed positively impacted the lives of his family, friends, coworkers, and all those he met. Ed worked in the paint industry for most of his career, most recently as a hardworking sales representative at Benjamin Moore.
Ed was a faithful Catholic and active parishioner at St. Mary Immaculate Parish in Plainfield. Ed's love of music of all genres and attending concerts lives on through his daughter. Ed enjoyed staying active through running, bowling, and fishing. A passionate Chicago sports fan, his perfect day was drinking craft beer and watching the Chicago Cubs win at Wrigley Field. He also enjoyed watching Chicago Blackhawks hockey and Chicago Bears football games with his family and friends.

The Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 4:00-8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 15219 South Joliet Road, Plainfield, Illinois, 60544 (corner of Route 59 and Route 30). The Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 23, 10:30 AM at St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 South Route 59, Plainfield, Illinois, 60544.
The family will be holding a private interment at Risen Lord Catholic Cemetery will take place at a later date.
