Edward J. Sexton Jr., 75, passed away at his home on March 18, 2026 surrounded by people who loved him.
Born on July 31, 1950 in Brockton, MA. Ed was a loving son of Florence and Edward Sexton Sr. He was a devoted husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and great grandfather whose humor always kept everyone laughing.
Ed graduated from East Bridgewater High School in 1968 and continued his education at Southeastern Vocational School. Upon finishing school, he worked as a landscaper and eventually started his own landscaping business. From there he grew his business into a profitable excavation and septic installation company until he retired in 2020. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves where he served 4 years.
He was a lifetime member of the East Bridgewater Commercial Club and a member of the Elks Lodge #2797 in Murrills Inlet, SC. In his free time, he loved to travel and enjoyed spending his time in his pool with all his kids and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Sharon (Kenney) Sexton of 38 years, his sister Ann Dennis of Port Charlotte, FL, 4 children; Brian Sexton and fiancé Margaret Mary Finley of Bridgewater, Jay Sexton of East Bridgewater, Nicole Hall of East Bridgewater, and Scot Hunter and his wife Patty of East Bridgewater. The beloved grandfather to 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a future time.
