Sophia – Edward "Eddie" Noah Skipper, 42, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at his residence.
Eddie was born on April 6, 1982, to Elton Carl Skipper and Marilyn Hughes Skipper.
Preceding Eddie in death are his son, Edward Noah Skipper, II; sister, Mary Skipper Howe; brother-in-law, David Bryan Revels.
Eddie, a man whose love for family, fast cars, and the simple joys of life made him truly unforgettable.
Eddie's passion for cars – especially Mustangs, both old and new – was undeniable. The roar of the engine and the thrill of speed brought him pure joy. Whether admiring a classic car or marveling at the latest model, Eddie's love for fast cars was a defining part of who he was.
Music was another of his great loves, filling his days with rhythm and melody. And in the quieter moments, he enjoyed playing games on his phone, finding fun and relaxation in the competition.
Eddie's presence was a gift, and though he may be gone, his spirit will ride forever on – just like the Mustangs he loved so much.
In addition to his parents, Eddie is survived by daughter, Vanessa Ann Skipper of New York; son Michael Carl Skipper of South Carolina; sisters, Annie Skipper Speer (Jason) of Rural Hall, Carlina Skipper Revels of Archdale; brother, Steven Craig Skipper of Colorado. He also has several nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.
The family will greet friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. on Saturday March 29, 2025, followed by a memorial service scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Cumby Family Funeral Service at 206 Trindale Road in Archdale. Pastor Justin Pugh will officiate the service.
Following the service family and friends are invited to come over to Carlina's house to spend time together.
