Edward Stephenson

Four Oaks, NC:  Mr. Edward Graham Stephenson, age 78, of 2334 Elevation Rd. died Thursday at his residence.  Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM Sunday at Elevation United Methodist Church, Benson, NC. Officiating will be  Dr. Reginald Ponder and Rev. Ron Gurganus.  Burial will follow in Burnell Baptist Church Cemetery, Four Oaks, NC.             Mr. Stephenson was born on June 24, 1938 in Harnett County to the late Gaddis Holland and Myrtle Stephenson. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy Jeanelle Stephenson. Mr. Stephenson was retired owner and operator of Apex Convenient Food Mart for 23 years and 319 Texaco for 10 years. He was also a US Army veteran and member of Elevation United Methodist Church.             Survivors include wife of fifty-nine years, Betty Sue Johnson Stephenson; sons, John Edward "Eddie" Stephenson and wife, Sue Mrache of Durham and Danny Shawn Stephenson and wife, Julie of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Chloe, Elyse, Ryan, Chandler, Kenzy, Adelyn and Adrian; many nieces and nephews.             The family will receive friends 2:00PM - 2:45PM Sunday at Elevation United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall prior to the service and other times at the home.               In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Johnston Home Care & Hospice, P.O.
