Edward "Ed" Sturgeon, age 82 of Otisville, beloved husband, father of four, and friend to many, passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2022. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in his honor later this spring at his home in Otisville.
Ed was born on November 1, 1940 to Edward and Lucille Sturgeon. He was raised in Walled Lake, Michigan, where he graduated from High School in 1958. Following his graduation, he went into trades, becoming a proud Ironworker with Local 25.
Ed loved spending time with his family and friends. He never met a dog he didn't like and they always loved him back. He was a master storyteller, jokester, and giver of advice. Ed was an avid hunter and fisherman and he and Sharron had many great adventures with their travel trailers, fishing boats, and cabin up north in Hillman. He was always in his element when he was outdoors and a happy man when on his lawn mower. the park-like setting of his home reflected that passion and hard work.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sharron (Isles); children: Brenda (Stanley) Tarkowski, Shannon Sturgeon, Mike (Denise) Sturgeon, and Ryna (Scott) Reinbold; he will be forever cherished and remembered by his adored grandchildren and great grandchildren; his very special friends and bonus kids, Todd and Barb Christie; and wonderful neighbors Josie and Nicole (and Rebel); and many other friends and family. His sweet grandpups will miss him too.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother, Rich; father and mother- in-law, Ivan and Marion Isles; and brother-in-law, Tommy Isles.
