Edward Toothman, III, a resilient pillar of strength and a beacon of hope for many, embarked on his heavenly journey on January 14, 2025. Born in the scenic city of Clarksburg, WV, on January 21, 1969, Edward's early years were filled with the simple joys of childhood, where he nurtured a loving heart and a vibrant spirit. His loving and supportive nature was his defining trait, and it resonated throughout his life's work as a Peer Review Addiction Counselor in the healthcare sector. Edward's unwavering commitment to his profession showcased his compassionate heart, as he tirelessly served those battling addiction, instilling in them courage and resilience.
Edward's love for life was infectious. His interests were as rich and varied as his personality. A lover of music, Edward's soulful connection with AC/DC's electrifying melodies was legendary among his family and friends. He was also a fervent advocate for the Poor People's Campaign, demonstrating his compassionate heart and his commitment to social justice. Despite his busy schedule, Edward always found time for what mattered most to him - his son, Marshall, and his family. He was a pillar of strength for his loved ones, always there to lend a supportive hand or a comforting word. Edward's love and devotion to his family were the cornerstones of his life.
Preceded in death by his father, Edward Toothman II, and his mother, Carol Darras, Edward's spirit lives on in the hearts of his son, Marshall Toothman, and sister, Tammy Stewart. As we remember Edward, let us take comfort in the words of the Bible, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" (Matthew 5:8). Edward's life was a testament to his resilient and loving spirit, his profound faith, and his unwavering support for those in need.
