Ward was born on April 9, 1965 in Oshkosh, WI, son of John C. “Jeff” and Jane (Shea) Bumby. He was raised in Ripon and cherished the area, including their family farmland in the Green Lake area. He mentored many young entrepreneurs and enjoyed helping them start their new companies. Ward was a member of RiverGlen Christian Church in Waukesha where he also was a group mentor and group leader. In his free time, Ward enjoyed traveling, target shooting, playing pickleball, spending time with his nieces and nephews, and loved being involved with the church.
Ward is survived by his dad, Jeff (Dianne Ashley) Bumby; sisters, Libby (Tim) Lailer, and their children, Samuel (Frannie O’Shea), Alexandra, Charles, and Grace Lailer; and Katie Bumby, and her children, Joey and Jack Radi; step-father, Alexander Barclay; many aunts; uncles; and cousins.
