Edward Washington

Mr. Edward Washington was called home to be with the Lord on Friday June 10, 2022.
Edward was born July 13, 1955, in South Bend, IN to the late Clara (Eddington) Washington and Wallace Washington Jr. He was a product of the South Bend Community School Corporation where he attended Central High School.
In Denver, CO on October 1, 1977 he united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Andrea (Wafford) Washington together this union raised three children.
Edward and his wife became proprietors of Diamond Ice Company and "Little Linda's Restaurant" named for their deceased daughter, Linda Washington.
Believers Church of God in Christ was where he ministered for many years under the supervision of Supt. Samuel L. Diggins, Sr. His most recent church he attended was the New Testament Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Steven Barnes. He loved signing those older church songs that would get everyone on their feet. No one could rock the house like he did. God gave him the gift of love and generosity, especially for his family, which he graciously shared. His love was extended to many others. Loving memories will be forever etched in the mind of his many, many family members and friends.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife Andrea Washington, mother and father Clara and Wallace Washington Jr., his daughter Linda Washington, son Therodore Perry, siblings, Perry Hunter, Linda Washington, Elizabeth Washington, Tyree Washington, and Gwen Keys.
Survivors left to cherish his loving memory include his daughter Catrina Perry, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, his siblings, Connie Witherspoon, Geraldine Boyd, Irene Bonds, and Otis Washington.
Services for Mr. Washington will be held on Saturday June 18, 2022 at 11 A.M in the Chapel of Alford's Mortuary, 1222 Napier St. South Bend, IN. 46601. Visitation will be held an hour prior at 10 A.M. Evangelist Yolanda Washington will bring the word. Arrangements have been entrusted with Alford's Mortuary Inc. - South Bend.
