Edward Leroy Wilkins II passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024. He was born on June 5, 1967, in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Edward Leroy Wilkins and Mary Pearl (Keagle) Wilkins. Ed was a talented carpenter by trade for over 30 years and finished his career as a truck driver for Hogan Trucking Company. He was a hard worker and enjoyed passing on his knowledge of his craft. Blessed with an awesome sense of humor and a stubborn streak he was going to do things his way. Ed loved spending time watching western movies and hitting the open road on his Harley, but most of all he was a family man.
Ed was survived by his loving wife of thirty-four years Mary Catherine Wilkins, children; Tiffany Gary (James), Michael Hausdorfer (Amber), siblings; Crystal Branham, Marie Herald, David Hayes, Terry Hayes, Jimmy Wilkins, Joey Wilkins. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in passing by his parents Edward Leroy Wilkins and Mary Pearl (Keagle) Wilkins, and Brothers Larry Hayes and Ronald Fitzwater.
Service for Ed will be 3:30p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227 with calling from 1:00p.m. until the time of service. Pastor David McColley will conduct the service. Inurnment will follow. Online condolences maybe offered at www.chancefuneralhome.com
