Edward Winhoven Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Sep. 1, 2022.
It is with the heaviest of hearts we're sad to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Big Ed.
Edward "Big Ed" Winhoven, a resident of Julian, WV, went home to Jesus on August 30, 2022, at the age of 65, after a short, hard, and intense battle with cholangiocarcinoma.
Big Ed was born to Floyd Louis Winhoven and Jeanette Henson Winhoven on November 10, 1956, at Dayton, OH.
Ed was a man of many talents. He was a truck driver for Harless Paving for approximately 20 years. In his free time, he loved picking up odd jobs including excavating and snow plowing, among many other things.
Big Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Jeanette Winhoven; three brothers, Steven L. Winhoven, Harold R. Bishop, and Freddy M. Bishop; his parents-in-law, Raymond and Faye Morgan; and one brother-in-law, Steven L. Morgan.
He is survived by his soulmate and wife of 40 years, Melanie Morgan Winhoven. Together, they had two children, Ashley (Josh) Davis of Morristown, TN, and Edward (Amy) Winhoven of Julian, WV. He is also survived by Nicholas Suthard, who he thought of as a son, of Julian, WV; his sidekick, Frankie Payne; five grandchildren, Emma Turner, Jaelynn Davis, Jason Turner, Ryker Davis, and Kambri Davis; and his sister (who, by the way, brought sexy back), Sharon (Devandra) Trivedi of Scottsdale, AZ. Additionally, Big Ed leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews along with countless wonderful friends, too many to name.
In honor of Big Ed's wishes, his remains will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Chapmanville, WV.
