Edward James Young Jr

Edward Young Jr at the age of 46 passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025. Born on December 23, 1978, in Violet LA to the late Edward Young Sr., and Christine Young. Edward attended Alfred Lawless Senior High School where he was known as "Fat Man" to many. He was very loving and would give you the shirt off his back. Fat-Man was a Bourbon Street Stepper. His favorite saying was "I know where you got those shoes." He will be greatly missed. Edward leaves to cherish memories his mother Christine Young, three sons, granddaughter: Berlynn Sims and grandson JJ. Fat Man was loved by Tiawana Taylor, Nikisha Young, and Tia Johnson. Also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by his father Edward Young Sr, and his wife Zenica Fernandez Young. Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, October 25, 2025, for 12:00 p.m. at Celebration Church, 5709 E. Judge Perez Drive, Violet, LA 70092.
