Mattie Banks LeCoq passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 96. Ms. LeCoq is survived by 7 children Cynthia Nicholas (Kenneth), Norma Jean Dixon, Jennifer Garrett, Linda, Ernest Jr., Monica, and Lloyd LeCoq (Troylynne). 24 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 28 great-great grandchildren. Also, survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Proceeded in death by her parents Emmit Banks and Odelia Williams, late husband Ernest LeCoq Sr., daughter Veronica LeCoq, adopted son Ronald Jones, and late brother Lloyd and Wilma Brown. Family and friends invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, October 25, 2025, for 10:00 a.m. at Gentilly Baptist Church, 5141 Franklin Ave. New Orleans, LA 70122. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Jerome N. Terry, officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Hwy.
