Lizzie May Holloway Randolph was born the 4th child of 9 children on June 5, 1935, to the union of the late John Walsh and Corrine Burton Holloway in Kentwood, LA. She passed on October 20, 2025, at the age of 90. She was a wonderful mother to her 9 children. She found Christ at an early age and attended church regularly until she fell ill. She was a proud graduate of St. Helena High School Class of 1955. Lizzie was an active member of First Street Peck Wesley United Methodist Church where she served as a Communion Steward and was a former President of The United Methodist Women. Lizzie started her teaching career as a Headstart Teacher in the 1970's. After the Headstart Program was reconfigured, she worked as a Paraprofessional, for over 30 years in Orleans Parish School System, from where she retired in 2006. She was a member of Mercy Endeavors Senior Center, where she served as 2019 Mardi Gras Queen. Lizzie loved family gatherings, a daily cup of coffee, a cold Coke with a straw, sweets: especially doberge cake, and BINGO. She was loved by many and was affectionately called: Momma, Mother, Grams, Grandma, Lil Hat, Auntie, Ain't Bit, Ms. Randolph, Momma Liz, and Teacher, amongst many other names. She is preceded in death by her parents; 5 sisters; 2 brothers; 1 daughter; 1 grandson; 2 sons in laws. She leaves to cherish her memories to her 8 children; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; 3 grand-dogs, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration on Monday, October 27, 2025, for 11:00 a.m. at Gentilly B. C., 5141 Franklin Ave., New Orleans, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Rev. B. Lance officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Repast will immediately follow at First Street UMC, 2309 Dryades Street New Orleans, LA 70113. Guestbook Online: www.anewtraditionbegins.com (504)282-0600. Linear Brooks Boyd and Donavin D.
