It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved brother, uncle and friend, Edward Harold Zelonka, on December 28th 2024 (age 53). He is preceded in death by his loving parents George Zelonka and Brenda Blackler and is survived by his dear sisters Tatiana and Abby and nieces and nephews George, Molly, Caitlin and Declan. Eddie was born in Manhattan and graduated from Bronx High School of Science. He was on the swim team during high school and was a Boy Scout Troop leader for several years. Eddie earned his Bachelor of science degree from the City University of New York while working as a doorman on the upper west side of Manhattan in NYC.
During this time, Eddie had a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog named Billy, he loved his dog very much and took him almost everywhere he went. After Eddie graduated college, he moved out to Las Vegas and began a career in the car sales business. Over the past 25 years, he worked at several car dealerships in the Las Vegas area and he was passionately dedicated to being a successful salesman. Eddie also enjoyed traveling to the Philippines during his vacation time. Most important to him were the relationships that he built over the years with his customers, co-workers and friends. Eddie will leave a lasting legacy of love, laughter, and memories for everyone whose life he touched.
A memorial was held on January 6th at the Davis Funeral Home in Las Vegas. Interment will be at the Wellwood Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
