Jesse Maxwell Kohler

Son of the late Anna and Louis Kohler, Jesse was born in Bronx, NY in January of 1934. With his wife Rona, Jesse raised their children in Rockaway, NJ before moving to Florida in 2001 and back to NJ in 2022.
Jesse was a graduate of Bronx Science and attended the School of Visual Arts. He started his career in corporate advertising in New York City and then proceeded to move his business to New Jersey and open his own company, The Fleetwood Agency. In addition, Rona and Jesse started JMK Shows, an event management company in 1972, until the passing of the business onto their daughter Allison in 2001. Jesse was a treasured husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Jesse's story telling was legendary. He fancied himself the world's greatest authority on most subjects and he had a lifelong passion and talent for art, drawing, and creating.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Rona. He leaves behind his children: Stuart Kohler and his wife Kristen, Julie Pollitz and her partner Adriana Fargelli, Michele Kohler, Allison Kohler, David Kohler and his wife Sharon. He also leaves behind grandsons Matthew (Chandra), Brandon, Ryan, Cameron, Justin (Krystie); one granddaughter Rory; three great grandsons; and a pack of grand fur babies who loved him.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Baron Hirsch Cemetery, 1126 Richmond Ave., Staten Island, NY 10314. A reception will follow at 1:00 PM at Suppa's Ristorante located at 490 E. Main Street (Rt 53), Denville, NJ 07834
