Edwardo Maldonado

Edwardo (Dogg) Maldonado, Age, 57, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on October 30, 2025. Eddie was a hard-working man with a heart as strong and kind as his hands. He took pride in fixing things and loved spending time working on house projects or crafting something new out of wood. There was never a task too small or too big. His kindness, humor, and willingness to help others touched everyone who knew him, one act of love at a time. He was the happiest when surrounded by family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. Whether he was talking sports or sitting outside enjoying the day, Eddie's laughter and love filled every moment. Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Gabriela Maldonado of 33 years, Six Children, Michelle (Troy) Massey, Xavier Maldonado, Disney Maldonado (Andres), Edie Maldonado, Gabrielle Maldonado (Steven), Patrick Maldonado (Paulina). His Mother Carolina Maldonado. His 7 grandchildren, Jasmine, Josiah, Nathaniel, Maièlle, Patrick Jr, Marcel, Mallania. His Siblings Albert Maldonado, Letty (Phillip) Ramos, Mari (Mark) Cruz, and Veronica Maldonado. He also had many nieces and nephews, his beloved fur babies Coco and Pedrito, and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his Father, Eleazar Maldonado and Mother-in-law, Teresa Espinoza.

A celebration of Eddie's life will be held at St. Leo's Catholic Church, located at 4415 S. Flores St., San Antonio, Texas 78214. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th from 4pm until 8pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6pm. The remaining time after the rosary will be for those who would like to speak or share a few words are more than welcome to do so in his memory.
