Edwin Charles Andera, Loving Husband, Dad, and "Papa", age 81 of Stillwater, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at his home. Edwin is survived by his loving wife, Madeline; children, Craig (Alice), Kevin, Kristin (Jeff), Clint, and Kyle; grandchildren, Ellen, and Susan; brothers, Bernard, Roger, Alvin, and Gail. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Leonard, Ronald, David, and Richard.

Edwin was born on January 1,1944 in Stickney, South Dakota to Edward and Rosalia (Kaus) Andera. He served in the Army after receiving his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Dakota. Ed and Maddie met in Germany during his Army service there. They were married on July 5th, 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts. Shortly after, they packed up and moved to New Ulm, Minnesota where Ed had a job at 3M. Ed worked his entire post-service career at 3M, from where he retired in 2002 at the age of 58. After moving to North Saint Paul in 1979, Ed and Maddie moved to Oak Park Heights in 2013.

Ed was active in his church, and held numerous leadership roles in his childrens' Scout Troop. He was a member of a local amateur radio club, a lifelong hobby. He enjoyed spending time at the lake fishing and camping, and traveling with Maddie. They made trips to Alaska, China, Germany, New Zealand, and Austria, among other places.

Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Church of St. Charles, 409 N. 3rd St., Bayport, MN 55003. There will be a time of fellowship/visiting at the church immediately following the Mass.
