Edwin Don Arrowood

Edwin Don Arrowood passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025 at the age of 87 within his hometown of Hiawassee, Georgia. Edwin was born June 15, 1937 to the late Earl and Elizabeth Arrowood in Hiawassee, Georgia. Edwin was a godly man and a devoted member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God. Edwin worked as a contractor for over twenty years doing what he loved, building houses within his local community. Edwin was a family loving family man at heart and cherished the days spent with them. Edwin’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, mowing grass, and playing card games with his family. You could always count on the Georgia bulldogs, a race or baseball playing on the TV.

Edwin is preceded in death by his father and mother, Earl and Elizabeth Arrowood; and his siblings, Ernest Arrowood, Everett Arrowood, Eldon Arrowood, Leta Garrett, Lois Collins, Linda Hammond, and Lillian Fann. Edwin is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-six years, Mavis Arrowood; his children, Lynn (Peggy) Arrowood and Myra Arrowood; his siblings, Ellote (Pam) Arrowood, Emmette Arrowood, Lannie (David) Ledford, and Lucy Oaks; his grandchildren, Tori Arrowood, Amber and Dewey Cardd; his great grandchildren Maryella and Mason Cardd, and his special friends; Alexis Garrett and Hannah Roberts

Visitation: Friday, June 6, 2025 5:00-8:00 at Mt Pleasant Church of God

Funeral: Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 2:00 at Mt Pleasant Church of God

Internment: Lower Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery
