Arthur Jackson "AJ" Arrowood, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, in Orlando, Florida.

AJ was born on August 13, 1940, in Jonesborough, Tennessee. He lived a long and meaningful life defined by devotion to his family, quiet strength, and a warm sense of humor that those closest to him will never forget.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joanne Arrowood; his mother, Chloe Arrowood; his brother, Ray Arrowood; and his brother-in-law, Robert Emory.

He is lovingly survived by his children, Anita Arrowood; Penny (Matthew) Potocki; George (Eleoannitt) Arrowood; and Lisa Tinsley. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Megan Atkins and Sadie Potocki; his sister, Gail Emory; nieces Layla Emory and Brittiany (Travis) Herman; nephews Michael Arrowood and Rodney Arrowood; and numerous extended family members who will remember him fondly.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation service on February 27, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Good Life Funeral Home in Orlando, Florida. Funeral services honoring AJ's life will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026. On that day, the family will receive friends and loved ones from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home, and the interment will follow in the James McCurry Cemetery, all in Burnsville, NC.

AJ's legacy lives on in the family he adored and the many lives he touched throughout his 85 years. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
