Edwin Ayers Obituary

Edwin was born November 8, 1963 in Buncombe County to Boyd Ayers and the late Annabelle Ayers. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and employed with the Defense Logistics Agency. Edwin retired from the United States Air Force with 26 years of service.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his nephew, Caleb Ayers.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 35 years, Elinora Ayers; daughters, Meghan Munie (Taylor) of Fairview Heights, IL and Madison Ayers of Stafford, VA; father, Boyd Ayers of Fletcher, NC; brother, Stacy Ayers of Fletcher, NC; three grandchildren, Easton Ayers, Jaxson Munie and Nora Munie and nephew, Joshua Ayers.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00pm in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals & Cremation Services with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 1:00pm.
Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
Flowers are acceptable and appreciated. Those desiring to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to consider: Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
