Edwin Berger Obituary
Edwin L. Berger, 89, of Wichita, Kan., and formerly of Slatington, passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, in his home. Born in Walnutport on Feb. 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Alvin and Pearl (Moyer) Berger.
Edwin served his country honorably and proudly as a member of the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1956. He was self-employed, owning a demolition/scrapping business for many years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gwendolyn A. Studebaker; 2 daughters, Berniece B. Hogan, Anna Mae Berger; 1 grandchild, Christopher Boudreau; 4 great-grandchildren, Demetri Osgood, Malachi Boudreau, Tayla Lyda, Jackson Boudreau; brother, Thomas S. Berger; sisters, Pearl Borger, Dorothy Nierer.
Services: A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors to be held at Fairview Cemetery, Slatington.
