Edwin H. Besterman III

Edwin H. (Butch) Besterman III, 67, of Sewickley, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021. He was the son of the late Edwin Besterman Jr. and Elizabeth (Betsy) Williams Besterman; brother to Mark Besterman, Mary Ann (Scot) Cencic, Barbara Besterman Cook, Paul (Amy) Besterman and the late Kathleen Besterman Shields. He truly enjoyed spending time with and was an endeared uncle to Catharine, Daniel, Amelia and Sophie Besterman, Sara and Rachel Cook, Lauren, Patrick and Elle Cencic, Jeremy (deceased), Joshua Shields and great uncle to Jenaka Shields. Graduating from West Virginia University with a degree in economics, Butch loved the Mountaineers. After graduation, he lived and worked in the San Francisco, Calif. area for over 40 years before returning to Sewickley. He had a deep faith in God and will be remembered for his kind heart and gentle spirit. Services are to be held at a later yet undetermined date. Arrangements were handled by the Cole Funeral Home, Sewickley.
