SALEM – Mr. Edwin Telemaco Domenech, 93 of Salem, beloved husband of the late Adela Fermin, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, March 10, 2022.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Jose and Engracia (Domenech) Telemaco. He was raised and educated in San Juan and was a graduate of Central High School in Puerto Rico.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. Upon returning home from serving his country, He continued his educational studies attending University of Puerto Rico and City College in New York.
Mr. Telemaco was a hardworking professional. As a young man he worked as a Postal Worker in Puerto Rico and later also as a taxi driver in New York City and as a server at My Brothers Table in Lynn. He was a great salesman, an entrepreneur and proprietor of a wholesale and retail clothing and jewelry business for many years.
A true servant of the Lord and spreader of the good news, Eddie had a true love of the Lord. He found great joy in helping others understand the word of the Lord. He taught bible studies at Bible Institute for many years as well as locally in churches and homes. It was his greatest joy to help others understand the good news. He was truly passionate about the scriptures. He loved to teach the bible all the while having a strong work ethic for daily living.
Eddie loved to see others happy. He was known as the "Merry Christmas/Happy New Year guy" by many. Whenever he met with someone, he would smile and say, "Merry Christmas/Happy New Year!" and people would smile and say it back all year round. This was his way of spreading the joy of the seasons throughout the calendar year. He always provided rides to those in need of one and always provided guidance and words of wisdom to those in need of them. Later in life, he shouted, "Hallelujah" throughout the day and even while he slept. It was who he was, helping others in so many ways. He was devoted to his Lord and family and will be deeply missed.
