Edwin “Ed” Clance, 77, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on April 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Baxley, GA on May 28, 1947, to the late Herman E. Clance, Sr. and Nina Reynolds Clance. He was a business owner and consultant in the residential and commercial construction industry for over 35 years. He was an avid bass fisherman and a devoted Georgia Bulldog fan.In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a grandson, infant Steven Edwin Clance.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Clance; son, Dr. Jeff (Debbie) Clance; daughters, Sharon (Tim) Langston, Christy Bryant; brother, Bud (Margie) Clance; sister, Doris Diamon; grandchildren, T.J. (Delaney) Langston, Katelyn (Jacob) Spellman, Kristen (Nate) Green, Jude Clance, Nathan Clance, and Hayden Jackson; great-grandchildren, Adalei Langston, Sara Grace Spellman, Ellie Kate Green; mother-in-law, Hazel Thornbrough; special friends Alan (Vanessa) McCormick, Tim (Valerie) Allen, Dan Bramlett and all his co-workers at Danco Builders. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
To honor his wishes, his body was cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, April 14, 2025, at 3:00 PM from City of Refuge, Calhoun, with Rev. Tim Langston and Rev. Shane Parrott officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at City of Refuge, Calhoun.
