Edwin Allan Fite, 85 passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday November 16, 2025.
Funeral is 10 AM Wednesday November 19, 2025 at First Baptist Church Boyd with burial at Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at the church.
Officiant is David Slimp. Pallbearers are Robert Lambert, Hunter Lambert, Clay Herriage, Garrett Fite, Jim Lambert and Jeremy Lambert.
Edwin Allan Fite was born May 15, 1940 in Tyler, Texas to Ed Farrar and Joyce Marie (Lewis) Fite. He married the love of his life Nora Jean Johnson on April 19, 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas they were married 57 years until her passing on February 12, 2020. Edwin enjoyed numerous outdoor sports like golf, fishing and hunting as well as bowling and watching football. He was a beloved son, husband, grandfather, brother and friend to many who will miss him dearly.
Edwin is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Joyce Marie Fite; his wife Nora Jean Fite; He is survived by his daughter Rhonda Herriage and husband Don; his son William Fite and wife April, grandchildren; Stephanie, Clay, Jackie and Garrett. great grandchildren; Hunter, Hayden, Peyton, Lena, Layla, Grayson, Tinsley, Brantley and Aynsley; brother, Tony Fite and wife Karen; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
