Edwin Gordon Obituary
He is survived by his 8 children: Edna West, Edwin Jr. (Jelyn) Gordon, JoAnn (Milton) George, Thomas (Marilyn) Gordon, William Gordon, John (Kim) Gordon, Michael Gordon, and Doug Gordon; 24 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister: Mary Schwartz of W. Va.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Kathryn Gordon; wife: Kathleen Gordon; two grandchildren: Rebecca Gordon and Kenneth Gordon; great grandchild: Payton Burke; son-in-law: Dale West; daughter-in-law: Amy Gordon; four sisters; and four brothers.
Edwin was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army. In the Army he was a diesel mechanic, which led to him working 48 years as a diesel mechanic at Reynolds Metals in McCook, IL. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Cremation rites will be accorded, per his wishes. A private burial will take place at a future date. Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home, in Salem, is honored to be of help to the family.
