Frances Elizabeth Gordon

Frances Elizabeth Gordon, age 94, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the Village of Lebanon Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 12, 1931 in Lebanon, Kentucky to the late Ed and Stella Knopp. Mrs. Gordon was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. She was a woman always on the go, embracing life with love, joy and purpose. Strong in her faith, she lived with trust, gratitude, and a generous heart. She found joy in simple pleasures-especially a good card game or round of dice-she enjoyed playing Rook or Bingo with friends and family. An avid traveler, she loved seeing new places and making memories along the way. Above all else, she cherished her family, who were the center of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Burton Gordon; daughter, Patricia Jeannie Benningfield; parents; eight siblings, Ed Knopp, Thelbert Knopp. Sam Knopp, Agnes Bischoff, Pauline Rakes, Sylvia Caldwell, Mae Morgeson, Thelma Curtis.

Survivors include her three sons, Butch (Cabrina) Gordon, Terry Gordon, Kevin (Barbara) Gordon all of Lebanon; three daughters, Rosalind (Bernard) Miles, Tina (Patrick) Wible, Bridgett (Chris) Wheatley all of Lebanon.

Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, interment to follow in Lebanon National Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Bosley Funeral Home with a prayer service that will be held at 7:00 P.M.
