Mr. Edwin Gurley, age 65 of Bowersville, GA., passed away on October 21, 2025 at home.
Born April 30, 1960, in Hartwell, Georgia; he is the son of the late Mr. Dwain Gurley and Mrs. Leighton Adams Gurley. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David Gurley and a sister Brenda Gurley. Edwin was a mechanic, he owned Gurley's Garage for years and also worked for the DOT. He attended North Georgia Technical School. Edwin was a Mason, he enjoyed racing cars at the Hartwell Speedway, farming with his dad and uncles and he loved spending time with his family.
Edwin is survived by his daughter Jennifer Kay Gurley Partain (Doug) of Bowersville, grandchildren Brandon Ray Ankerich, Bradley Dylan Ankerich and Rheanna Kay Ankerich.
Edwin's wishes were to be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held on Friday October 31, 2025 at 4:00 at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street, Hartwell, Ga. 30643 with a visitation to be held one hour prior to the service.
