Edwin J. Higgins was born on April 18, 1937 to the late Matthew J. and Isabelle M. Higgins in Brooklyn, NY and left this world to be with them again in heaven on July 14, 2023. He is also joining his twin brother Matthew Higgins, brothers James, Matthew Higgins, and sister-in-law Marie Higgins along with many loved family members.
Left to cherish is memory is his sister Patricia M. Reynolds and brother-in-law Eugene Reynolds, sister-in-law Angela Higgins. He will also always been in the hearts of his nieces and nephews Eugene, Patricia, Matthew, and Kathleen Reynolds, Kelly Hill, Laura Higgins, Matthew Higgins, and Marie Kozak and many great and great-great nieces and nephew. His memory is cherished by many cousins and friends.
He was a lifelong New Yorker and loved growing up in Brooklyn and living in New York. He was proud of his Irish heritage and was the family historian. He proudly served his country in the US Army for one term. He retired after many years with the New York phone companies. He was a devoted Catholic. He always had a heart for animals and always had a dog and cat to spoil and never saw one he did not stop to love.
