Edwin Keniston Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels - Waltham on Oct. 24, 2024.
Edwin J. Keniston
Of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Newton - Wellesley Hospital at the age of 76.
Edwin also known as "Eddie" was a lifelong resident of Waltham. He is the son of the late Edwin G. Keniston and Josephine J. (DiCicco) Keniston and the son-in-law of the late Ernest L. Barlow and Rose M. (Meile) Barlow.
Eddie worked as a Truck Driver for McNamara Concrete and the Aggregate Cement Corporation for many years.
A proud United States Marines Corps Vietnam Veteran, Eddie served in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969. His bravery, sacrifice and strength will never go unnoticed.
He had many passions, but his greatest one was spending time with his wife and family. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was on the phone, sitting around the kitchen table, just stopping by the house to drop off little surprises he had picked up, getting ice cream, dragging the kids to new diners he had seen for lunch or spending time together at their York Beach summer home, nothing meant anything more to him.
He is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate of 55 years Vicki A. (Barlow) Keniston; his devoted & loving daughters Micheala Hutchinson; Dalana Keniston and Tanya Keniston; his cherished grandchildren Brittney, Ashley, Mia, Christian, Matthew and Brayden; his adoring great grandchildren Aaliyah and Avery; and his dear siblings Linda Lord and her husband Wayne; Karen Johnson; and the late Nan Taranto. In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Eddie's life and remember the love and friendship he shared with so many others at a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham, on Saturday morning, October 26th at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers donations in Eddie's memory may be made to the Toysfortots.org
