Edwin Shane Polk, widower of Carol McKeown Polk passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 20, 2025. He is survived by one son, Kevin Polk (Ashley); one daughter, April Wines (Josh); grandchildren, Devin Polk, Haley Polk, Ava Polk, Ryan Polk, Michael Wines, Aubrey Wines and Jacob Wines; one brother, Curtis Polk. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Edwin Polk, Gladys Taylor Brock, step-father, Harold Brock; one brother, Gerald Polk.
He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He also loved his muscle cars. Shane was a former fan of NASCAR and a deer hunter before his declining heath.
The visitation for Shane will be 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2025 at his church, Tabernacle Ministries. The funeral, conducted by Pastor Kenneth Compton, will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the sanctuary of Tabernacle Ministries. The burial will be in Chester at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Tabernacle Ministries, 4500 Great Falls Highway, Great Falls, SC 29055.
The family will also be receiving friends at the home, 1007 Langley Drive in Chester.
