Edwin Randall “Randy” Scheide, retired owner of Main Auto Supply, Inc and County Commissioner of Precinct 1 for 32 years, peacefully passed away on Dec 24, 2025, surrounded by loving family at home following a 10 day stay at the hospital.
Randy was born on May 13, 1951, to William Henry Scheide and Dorothy “Tooter” Lamb Scheide and raised in Uvalde. He graduated from Uvalde High School in 1969, attended the SWTJC and earned a Political Science degree from West Texas State in Canyon, Tx.
He was preceded in death by his son, Edwin Randall Scheide Jr, his older brother, Billy Scheide, his parents, his in-laws, LeMoey and Alberta Wiebush, Jr. and nephew, Hunter Wiebush.
Randy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Debra Wiebush Scheide, his daughter and son-in-law, Jordyn and Mike Jackowski, grandson, Finn Randall Jackowski, granddaughters, Carli Jackowski Thomas (Cass), Chloe Jackowski, and 2 great grandsons, Asher and Maddox Thomas. His younger brother, Dr Gary Scheide, his in-laws, Chris Wiebush Elrod (Ben), LeMoey Wiebush (Peggy), Clay Wiebush (Aracelie) and Eric Wiebush. Also, numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Uvalde Hospice and the very special Angels that work for them. We have felt the comfort, love and strength from our precious family, friends and all those that have kept us in their prayers, we thank you.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Uvalde Hospice and Uvalde Volunteer Fire Department.
