Edwin Irwin Siemsen

Ed Siemsen, 86 year old longtime Woodward resident was welcomed home by his loving wife of 64 years on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Edwin Irwin Siemsen was born December 20, 1938 in Pine Bluff, Wyoming to John and Clara (Swanburg) Siemsen of Pine Bluff, Wyoming. Ed attended school in Pine Bluff graduating May 24, 1957. After graduation Ed enlisted in the United States Army where he served seven years before being honorably discharged on November 30, 1964.
In 1960, Ed met Christina Marie Olsen at an eye doctor office where she worked. They were united in marriage on December 3, 1961. To this blissful marriage they welcomed two boys, LaRone Ty and Kris Lars. They were also blessed by adopting their daughter Tanoah Marlene at the age of five weeks.
After moving to Woodward in 1974, Ed started working at W.R. Grace as they started up the ammonia plant. W.R. Grace was bought by Terra and Ed continued working until his retirement 35 years later. During Ed's years at Terra he received many awards, certifications and had many accomplishments.
Ed's greatest love was his wife Christy and the joy of raising the granddaughters Natalie Ann and Stephanie Jo. They had these two from very small girls through their graduation and they later had the great pleasure of raising Karla May to a beautiful young lady.
He loved the Lord with all his heart and shared this love with many individuals that came through his life and home. He knew no stranger, loved unconditionally and whole heartedly. He enjoyed being a father, grandad, and great granddad.
Ed was welcomed into Heaven by his parents John and Clara, his wife Christy, son LaRone, sister Hilda, nephew Quince, in-laws Clifford and Doris Olsen, and many, many dear friends.
He is survived by his son Kris of Cheyenne, Wyoming; daughter Tanoah of Chester; daughter-in-law Paula of Chester; brother-in-law Gereld of Hillsdale, Wyoming; brothers Jack of Idaho, Jim of Nebraska; sisters Irene of Colorado and Hazel of Georgia; granddaughters: Natalie Haigler and husband Nick of Oakwood, Stephanie McEachern of Okeene, Karla McDannald and husband Stetson of Vici; great-grandchildren: Braxton and Jaxson Haigler, Ty, Alicyn, Haidyn, Mackaylyn McEachern, Ethan Thompson, Mason McDannald; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
