Edwin H. WINANS, Jr., 63, of Belfast, NY, died Monday, September 15, 2025 in Olean General Hospital. 

Born January 12, 1962, in Coudersport, he was the son of Edwin H. and Jeanette DeVore Winans. A 1980 graduate of Port Allegany High School, he learned to drive truck through BOCES in Belmont. He was employed by Jerge's Used Auto Part's Inc. in Belfast and KS LaForge Excavating in Wellsville. Ed was known as “Fast Eddy” at Woodhull Raceway for many years. 

Surviving are: his mother, Jeanette Austin of Scio; three children, Daniel Winans of Spring Water, NY, Bradley Winans of Vinton, VA, and Christopher Winans of Durham, NC; two grandchildren, Alley Winans and Bryson Winans; his best canine friend, Gidget; a brother, Rodney (Kelly) Winans of Wellsville; two sisters, Annette J. (Robert) Kish of Belfast and Nikki (Shawn) Moore of Coudersport, PA; his step-mother, Shirlee Winans of Roulette, PA; nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Jimmy and Jenn Jerge of Belfast. He was predeceased by a son, Timothy Winans; his father, Edwin Winans; his stepfather, Victor J. Austin; and two sisters, Susan K. Luce and April M. Baxter. 

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Northern KonXions United Methodist Church in Belfast. 

Memorials may be made to the family.
