William “Bill” Joseph Chambers, 65, of Wellsville, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the Wellsville Manor following a lengthy illness. He was born May 6, 1960, in Wellsville, the son of James and Etta (Young) Chambers.

He often could be heard saying “We’re family, we gotta stick together”.
Bill is survived by: a daughter, Laura Snyder of Angelica; sisters, Marlene (Jim) Burdick of Wellsville, who were his excellent caregivers and support in the last years, Maria (Dale) Gaylord of Andover and Becky Chambers of Wellsville; a brother, Francis “Jake” Chambers of Allentown; nieces, Holly (Bo) McCoy, Nina (Nate) Powley, Crystal (Brock) Stevens, Michelle Burdick, Nicole Small, Kerri Chambers, Mollie Chambers, and Megan Chambers; nephews, Dustin (Amanda) Morris and Joseph Small; as well as several cousins, great nieces, and great nephews. He was predeceased by: his parents, a sister, Melanie “Sam” Burdick, and a nephew, Shaun Chambers.
