Adron Gooder Chambers, 86

Adron Gooder Chambers died August 25, 2025. He was born February 12, 1939 in Double Springs, Alabama to the late Jack and Maggie (Walker) Chambers. A resident of Okeechobee most of his life, he was the owner/operator of Adron Fence. He started the business in the 1970s and retired in the late 1990s. He enjoyed watching Gold Rush, riding motorcycles, Alaska, Wolf Packs, and wildlife.

Mr. Chambers was preceded in death by his brothers, Armel Chambers, Odell Chambers, and Wayne Chambers; sister, Wanda Burnett; grandson, Ry Chambers; and spouses, Pamela Chambers and Marylou Chambers.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Julie Higgins Williamson Chambers, of Okeechobee, Florida; sons, Todd Chambers (Tracela), of Brundidge, Alabama, Ross Chambers (Norann), of Fort Pierce, Florida, and Travis Chambers (Jennifer), of Okeechobee, Florida; daughters, Colleen Kriss (Ed), of Stuart, Florida, Cathy Yates (Donnie), of Okeechobee, Florida, Tami Wendt (Brian), and Brandi Williamson (Jeremy); twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Verona Wallace, Sue Crittenden (Billy), all of Haleyville, Alabama, Adell Dees, of Okeechobee, Florida, and Sue Gravitt, of Haleyville, Alabama; and beloved pet, Pollie-Ann Chambers.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. until service at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Buxton Okeechobee Funeral Home.
