Edythe Collier

Edythe "Edy" Collier passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the age of 69. She was born on Sept 19, 1955 to the late C. Frank Dickerson and Verna Lee (Jones) Dickerson who survives.

Edy was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She cared deeply about everyone and anyone. She had a heart of gold & always spoke with love.

She married the love of her life, Ray Allen Collier, Sr. on July, 25, 1975 and had 50 wonderful years with him. Edy was a member of the church of Christ in Plainfield, In which she attended faithfully with her husband Ray.

Edy loved God very much & taught her family to love Him as well. She woke up most every day and thanked Him for her blessings and did the same when she went to bed at night. Although she was not ready to leave her beloved husband, family & friends, she was looking forward to meeting God & Jesus.

She is survived by her husband Ray, they filled their 50 years with love & adventures having had 2 children, Ray Allen Collier, Jr. (Beth), and Laura Kay Honey (William), 6 Grandchildren, Victoria Rae Lynn Blythe, Tiara Rose Reynolds (Caleb), Katelyn Marie Provines (Dylan), Emily Beth Collier, Jake Allen & Andrew Jake Collier, and 4 great grandchildren, Naomi Renee, Elijah William Jacob, Priscilla Michele, and Benjamin Hank (on his way!). Edy is also survived by her siblings, Melissa Collier, Karen Wagner, Linda Day and Gail Clay

She was preceded in death by her late father, C. Frank Dickerson, and her grandson Jake Allen Collier.

She will be missed by many that knew & loved her.

Funeral services will be held at Plainfield Church of Christ on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 11:00 am with Johnie Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Stilesville Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville is assisting with the arrangements.
