Effie Mae (Crump) Hamilton, 94, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025. She was born on May 12, 1931, to the late John W. Crump Sr. and Mary Hannah Crump. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jack V. Hamilton; sisters, Bobbie Gwynn and Mildred Stone; and brothers, Emory Crump, Junior Crump, Howard Crump, and Walter Crump.
Effie was a 1950 graduate of Red Bud High School, where she was voted most popular. She was a member of South Calhoun Baptist Church.
Effie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Barry Tow; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Black, Barbara and Scott Rainwater; brother-in-law, Robert Gwynn; sister-in-law, Lonna Crump; and grandchild, Jocelyn Tow. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
The family asks that flowers be omitted and donations be made to the South Calhoun Baptist Church Building Fund.
A private graveside service will be held in Gordon Memorial Gardens.
