Efren Quitazol Reyes

Flordelino Efren Quitazol Reyes, 69, passed away on September 23rd, 2023 in Oxnard, CA. Efren was born on November 19th, 1953 in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines to Mariano & Benita Reyes. He graduated from Saint Louis College Boys' High School in 1970. Efren went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Management, with a Minor in Economics at the University of Manila. While studying at the University, he was part of the Men's Basketball team. After graduating college, Efren went on to work as an accountant in Bangued Abra, Philippines, where he met his wife, Rosie. Soon after meeting Rosie, Efren immigrated to the United States, where he continued his education at the University of California, Santa Barbara in where he studied; Accountancy, Production, and Inventory Management.
Efren loved spending time with his family through traveling, cooking, playing guitar, singing, and dancing. He also had a love for sports, which he shared with his wife and children. Efren is survived by his Wife, Rosie; Daughter, Katrina; Son, Krockett and wife Amanda; brother, Enrique; niece Sharon and husband Eric; grandnephew & grandniece, Tristan and Arielle; nephew, Benhardy; along with nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews in the Philippines, and his favorite dogs, Kemper and Max.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held on Wednesday evening, October 4, 2023 from 4 to 9pm in the BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY & CREMATION, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura. Light food and refreshments will be provided. Visiting hours will again be held on Thursday evening, October 5, 2023 from 4 to 9pm, where a Most Holy Rosary will be recited at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, October 6, 2023 in Santa Clara Roman Catholic Church, 323 South E Street, Oxnard. Interment will then immediately follow in Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery, 2370 North H Street, Oxnard. A reception to celebrate Efren's life, will be announced at a later time.
