Eileen L. Ballmer, 90, of New Albany, formerly of Reynoldsburg, went home to the Lord on March 13, 2025. She was born in Fort Recovery, Ohio, to the late Bernard and Madeline (Baumann) Sanderell.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 70 years, Malcolm “Red” Ballmer; their children, Jeff (Carol) Ballmer, Larry (Barb) Ballmer, Susan (Tom) Guy, and Linda (Doug) DiCocco; grandchildren, Adam Ballmer, Jessica (Kevin) Miller, Colleen (Patrick) Callaway, Nick (Amber) Ballmer, David Ballmer, Nathan (Meghan) Guy, Trent (Laura) Guy, Chad (Jayme) Guy, Anthony (Megan) DiCocco, and Angela DiCocco; great-grandchildren, Rylynn Callaway, Cora Miller, Taylor Miller, Evan Ballmer, Skylar Ballmer, Lucas Ballmer, and Isla DiCocco; as well as many other family members and friends.
She is also survived by her siblings Margaret (Peggy) Bump, Mary Morrison and John (Jane) Sanderell and sister in law Judith (Judy) Sanderell.
Along with her parents, Eileen is preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Clute and Carol Sanderell, brothers, Anthony, Joseph, Michael, Frank, Bernard Sanderell, and grandsons, Thomas and Eric Guy.
Eileen graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1952. She spent the majority of her working career in Forecasting for Ohio Bell and Ameritech in Columbus, but her true love and calling was being a dedicated spouse, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Eileen also loved being creative, doing crafts, sewing, embroidering and cross stitch. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Eileen especially enjoyed sharing her love of sewing with her niece Christine Zaborowski.
Eileen will be remembered for her strong faith, her quiet strength and never seeking attention toward herself. She lived her life by the values that mattered most to her.
Immediate family will greet friends and family from 4 to 7 pm, Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions – Northeast, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus 43231. A service to honor her life will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E. Dublin Granville Rd., New Albany, OH 43054 .
