Eileen was born September 29, 1931, in Nora, Nebraska, to Murray and Ila (Kern) Nelson. She grew up in the Loup City area and graduated from Loup City High School in 1950, carrying with her a strong work ethic and a deep love for family, faith, and community that would define her life.

On February 5, 1956, Eileen married the love of her life, Delane Chader, in Wenatchee, Washington. Together they built a life on the family farm near Hordville, where Eileen poured her heart into caring for her family and creating a welcoming home. In 1982, they moved to Hampton, where Eileen worked at Smith's True Value and became a familiar, friendly face to many. She later moved to Aurora in 2024.

Eileen had a gift for making everyday moments special. She found joy in gardening, cooking, and baking for those she loved, and she enjoyed traveling and bowling. She was deeply involved in her church and community and volunteered at the Aurora thrift store. One of her favorite daily rituals was meeting friends for coffee at the Hampton c-store at 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. a simple routine that meant so much to her.

Above all, Eileen treasured her family. She rarely missed a chance to cheer on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at sporting events, fine arts performances, and 4-H activities. Being present, supportive, and proud of them brought her immense happiness.

Eileen is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tena (Dwight) Comer; sister, Donna Wilshusen; brother, Mervyn Nelson; grandchildren, Taylor (Kristi) Comer, Morgan (Jeremy) Philippi, Trevor (Cayln) Schnabel, Courtney Schnabel, and Sarah Schnabel; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Aubree Philippi, Kyler and Kaden Comer, and Leo and Ruby Schnabel; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delane Chader; her son, Terry Chader; and her daughter, Sandra Schnabel-all of whom she missed dearly.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to East Park Villa and Memorial Community Care Center for the compassionate and loving care given to Eileen.

When I came to this community, I always remember JC Cranfill talking fondly of Delane and Eileen Chader. He had such great respect for them. After getting to know them, I had to agree. They both made great contributions to our society and that is special. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
